Farmers Market

The South-End Farmers Market is a year-long, every Saturday market with local farmers and local goods. Given that Charlotte has four seasons (some of which are really hot, and some of which are pretty chilly), I was impressed that these vendors would come out rain, shine, windy, and cold to sell their local produce and goods every weekend. I wanted to document this, so I aimed to photograph this market's vendors all year. The photos below are from 2022; as you can see, the smiling faces and community shine through, and even when it's not ideal weather conditions, they show up for the community and each other. During the project, I made great friends with the vendors and learned how hard they work and how tasty their products are! I've discontinued this photo project but still purchase from this market frequently and enjoy the connectivity I get from supporting my community farmers.
